How can I calculate my carbon footprint?

Having more than one project is normal. With our API you can receive a list of available
projects and select with which project you want to offset your emissions, or let us choose
one by default.

What happens if I have more than one project per integration?

Yes, whether it’s because you have several websites or operate in different markets, you
can have multiple integrations in your account. This is also useful for using both API and
widget.

ClimateTrade offers a diverse portfolio of climate solutions, like the possibility to donate to

Is carbon offsetting the only solution ClimateTrade offers?

No. Besides the API we have a widget you can integrate within your website, but we also
have a public marketplace where you can buy carbon credits whenever you need.

I’m lost and I don’t know how to proceed. Can I get some kind of assistance?

There are 2 certificates. The certificate issued by the carbon credit supplier will be provided
to you at the moment of your purchase of credits from a specific project, while ClimateTrade
will be sending its own certificate to your customer (or whichever contact data you provide)
for each offset transaction.

What kinds of certificates do I get?

Verified projects ensure your offsets and your customers’ offsets are going to projects that
effectively contribute to mitigating climate change.

Why is it important that projects are verified?

Yes, you can add projects to your account whenever you want: you just need to go to your
account, choose your integration and purchase new credits from any of the projects
available.

Can I add projects to my integration whenever I want?

At ClimateTrade we connect companies or individuals looking to offset their carbon
emissions to a large number of verified environmental projects, allowing them to offset
through different means: API integration, widget or directly using our marketplace. You can

What does ClimateTrade do?

What is the benefit of integrating the ClimateTrade API?

You can access the API documentation in this developer’s portal: simply register and you will
gain access to our API Docs page.

How can I see the documentation of the API?

In the My Integrations page in your account you can create a new integration and add
projects as part of the creation process, or you can select an existing project and top up your
integration.

How do I select the projects I want to offset?

The process is easy. You purchase carbon credits from any project you want and add them
to the integration you want (API or widget). Once that integration has carbon credits
available, you can start offering carbon offsetting to your clients.

What is the process to offset?

Yes, registering and using the API/widget is free. However, you need to purchase carbon
credits to top up the balance of your integration in order to start using them.

Is ClimateTrade’s API/widget free?

An integration is an enabled connection to our API/widget. Every integration provides a
unique authentication token that will let you connect to our API by identifying yourself. That
token is shown on the integration page of your account.

What is an integration?

The process is easy: Register and select the option to enable API/widget. Once granted
access you will be able to get into your account, select “My Integrations” and start creating a
new one.

Where should I start?

We apply blockchain technology to provide complete traceability on all transactions, and we
give you a blockchain address so each carbon offsetting transaction and its associated value
are visible to you.
